When former Access Hollywood correspondent Maria Menounos was a guest on The Meredith Vieira Show in January 2015, the host asked her which celebrity was her worst red carpet interview ever. And while Menounos wouldn’t spill on that topic, Vieira herself didn’t hesitate to do so. “I was hosting the red carpet for the Oscars one year,” Vieira said. Vieira made it clear that she totally understood why he wasn’t a fan of the joke. “It wasn’t that he was trying to be mean,” Vieira told Menounos. “I think that he just found me annoying, and I’ve never seen him since. So, there you have it.” Menounos asked Vieira if she’d seen the most recent (at the time) film Eastwood had directed, American Sniper. She said she hadn’t, but both women agreed that he’s extremely talented. And for more entertainment and celebrity news sent straight to your inbox, sign up for our daily newsletter.
