In the interview, Corden asked how Harry’s young son was doing and the dad gushed over his firstborn. “My son is now just over a year and a half. He is hysterical. He’s got the most amazing personality. He’s already putting three, four words together. He’s already singing songs,” Harry said. When Corden asked what Archie’s first word was, Harry said, “Crocodile,” with a laugh. “That’s a big word,” Corden replied. “Three syllables,” Harry said proudly. The interview was filmed earlier this month, before Harry and Meghan announced that they’re welcoming baby No. 2 and before they were officially stripped of their ceremonial titles and patronages by Queen Elizabeth. While the Queen is known for her gag gifts, Archie got a much more practical present this year. “My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker,” Harry said. “She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. Corden also asked Harry what a typical night for the Sussexes looks like and of course, it’s all about Archie. “Give him a bath, read him a book, put him down. Go downstairs, Meg might cook a meal, might order a takeaway. Go upstairs. Sit in bed. Turn the TV on. Watch some Jeopardy! Maybe watch a little bit of Netflix,” Harry said. Corden followed up asking the prince’s thoughts about the streamer’s hit royals series The Crown. “It’s fictional,” Harry said. “It gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle and what the pressures of putting duty and service about family and everything else, what can come from that. I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family and my wife and myself. Because it’s the difference between, that is obviously fiction, take it how you will, but this is being reported on as fact because you’re supposedly news. I have a real issue with that.” As for who he would want to see play him on The Crown, Harry recommended Damian Lewis, who played another royal, King Henry VIII, in the BBC Two series Wolf Hall.
