Recently, fans of the show were shocked to realize that one of its most captivating actors is Sosie Bacon, the 29-year-old daughter of Bacon and Sedgwick. Although many fans were surprised to learn Sosie was the daughter of two famous actors, her parents had not been keeping it quiet. Both her mom and dad have been eagerly promoting Mare of Easttown on her behalf. In late May, Kevin took to Instagram to share a video joking about his close connection to the show. “Hey everybody, I just wanted to say I’m watching that show. What’s it called? Mare of Easttown,” he said to the camera. “I especially like that actress, what’s her name? Sosie something? I don’t remember her last name, but it’s like Sosie… I don’t know, Sosie Hoagie or Sosie Wawa.” He went on to say, “I can’t remember her last name, but she’s good.” He closed out the video adding, “Anyway, that’s all, just a good show. I like it.” Earlier in May, the famous couple also made a video promoting Mare of Easttown along with Kevin’s new show, City on a Hill, and Sedgwick’s Call Your Mother, proving they’re a very busy—and talented—family. Sosie made her acting debut in the 2005 movie Loverboy with her parents when she was 13 years old, playing the younger version of her mom’s character. (Her older brother, Travis Bacon, also appears in the movie.) Sosie also had a four-episode arc on her mother’s popular show The Closer in 2009. And while Sosie may be a new face to many Mare of Easttown viewers, she’s had a handful of other acting credits—sans parents—including roles on 13 Reasons Why, Here and Now, Narcos, and Scream: The TV Series, among others. After attending The Evergreen State College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Audio Engineering in 2012, Travis started a career as a musician, eventually becoming the guitarist for the band Black Anvil in 2016. Travis also produced songs for Sedgwick’s 2017 Lifetime movie Story of a Girl, which Sosie and Kevin starred in. He also owns a recording company in New York called Broken Box.
